Emad
Soliman has lived in Brisbane since 1995 and is currently
a PhD scholar in Sociology at Griffith University. He is
married with three children.
Emad
is concerned about human rights, social justice, equality,
housing affordability, the soaring cost of living and sound
health and education systems.
He is
heavily involved in grassroots community groups including
Amnesty, Just Peace, Just Rights and the Refugee Action
Collective.
"Moretons
diverse ethnic community must be heard.
Howard keeps reminding us about economic prosperity
while we struggle to pay our bills. The government attacks
those who are most vulnerable in our society, including
working families, Indigenous, refugees, Muslims, and migrants.
Australia
is bogged-down in an unjust war in Iraq. Meanwhile our health
and education systems are suffering from the lack of vision
and funding. Labor is too fearful to take a principled stand
on these crucial issues that matter to all of us."
"The
Democrats represent common sense solutions and the politics
of conviction. Social justice, a progressive economy and
leading environment policies are at the heart of the Democrats
policies."
The
Democrats have an outstanding history of holding governments
accountable in the Senate and providing a genuine independent
voice."
"
I urge you to elect Democrats 1 by voting for Andrew Bartlett
in the Senate and myself in the House of Representatives.
