We are a centrist party that listens to both sides because we are not beholden to any interest groups. This means that our policies address the needs of all Australians, not just the ones who can afford to donate money to the major political parties.
We've been campaigning to protect the environment for 30 years which was before the Greens even existed and well before the Liberals and Labor even cared.
We are also the only party with a proven track record in representing the interests of young people. Australian Democrats Senator Natasha Stott Despoja was the youngest woman to enter Federal Parliament at the age of 26.
